Everybody's getting them, but do you understand what you have? We will be demonstrating on the Motorola Razr but iPhones and other models all have similar features. These are computers that happen to make phone calls. They can also take pictures and video. You use them to navigate using GPS, browse the web, send and receive email and text messages. We'll cover the basics including rebooting and power settings. What are notifications about? Security is a big concern. Do you need an anti-virus program?
Explore settings and System Information. Know what version of the operating system you have. 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi? Turn GPS on/off to save battery? Applications - store in phone, or on SD card? Camera settings make a difference. Using phone data for Internet Access on your laptop. Connecting to the computer to transfer files. What are the must have apps? You can be smarter than your phone!

The Boca Raton Computer Society offers more SIGs, on a regularly scheduled basis, than any other area computer club.
The list of SIGs is on the SIG page. All SIGs are open to members.
