October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. In recognition of this important topic, Jerry Naditch will present material from staysafeonline.org and other sources that give up-to-date information on the threats facing computer users. The focus will be on practical steps we can all take to reduce those threats. The stakes have never been higher, but mitigation requires mostly simple behavior changes in the way we use our computers.

We need help! BRCS is an all volunteer organization. Many jobs are either unassigned or being done by one or more of our board members. Please consider becoming part of the BRCS volunteer staff. We especially need to find a Programs Chairperson. Maybe you do perform this function for your community's computer club, and you can do both jobs with very little extra effect. We would also like to find a Facilities Coordinator, a Public Relations person, and a SIG Coordinator. If you have expertise with Microsoft Access, the Membership Coordinator would like your help. Please contact Steve Costello at firstname.lastname@example.org and offer to help.
